Use Google Alerts: update news alert on any subject or idea | how to make money online for free

Track a topic or topics, title or titles, an event or events, a keyword or keywords, a tag or tags, name or names, celebrity or celebrities, blog or blogs, MySpace, website or websites, new news, competitor or competitors, sport or sports, team or teams, or any idea you can think of. Get notified by email instantly, or at preset intervals.

See who has written about your idea, and get your news and ideas updated from data or information gathered from around the earth with Google Alerts. Keep track of any concepts you have, or any references to any phrase, words, or a word that you are thinking about or have published something in reference to.

Google alerts is free and easy as one, two, three.

* One, log in to your Google account (or sign up), and go to “More Google Products” (you might bookmark “Google Alerts” for future reference). You can also use the menu bar at the top of the Google search homepage and select more >> even more >> Alerts.

Manage your Alerts

From the Manage your Alerts page you can:

  • Delete an alert or create a New Alert
  • Switch to HTML or text emails (for the alerts that are emailed)
  • Change the Search Terms
  • Change the Type of search, which are either the default Comprehensive search, or searches only in News, Blogs, Web, Video, or Groups.
  • Change the Deliver to either email, or have them delivered via a Feed (through your Feed Reader).
  • Lastly, you can control the delivery to either the default once a day, or choose between once a week or as-it-happens.

That’s it! One, Two, Three.

Don’t underestimate the value of Google Alerts in your arsenal of free tools to make money. For example, if you write about a subject, you can track when either people (or animated methods) mention your article, or when others release something the same, or very similar.

Remember, everything we do here is ultimately geared towards how you can make money on your blog, we will update the ledger on the upper left showing the profits from this blog daily so you can see how the money evolves, and from what avenues.
